About Me

My photo
Hi, I am Ivy and 55, I have 4 children 3 in their 20s and my youngest is 10 and live with my partner in a lovely village in Branston, Lincs. I started this blog only recently and feeling very proud of myself as have not done it before. Well, I found a new passion in my crafting only recently and that is colouring Magnolia stamps, CC designs, My Besties and Whimsy and I am pretty sure the list will go on lol. As I know a lot of you are professionals at it and maybe some of you are not, regardless it would be great if you would like to FOLLOW ME to my Cabin to share, inspire or just for a chat with a lovely brew... that would be fantastic!! Hope to see you soon xx

Fall Fox

Fall Fox

Good morning,
Sadly summer is over in a couple of days and autumn will be upon us..... its still a lovely time of the year don't you think..?
Look at this happy little fellow... Fall Fox from Whimsy Stamps, he's enjoying it! :-) I coloured this image with Prima Marketing Watercolour Oil Pastels as I wanted the shabby look. I matted and layered with Maja Design Walking In The Forest with all the autumnal colours... perfect :-)

Embellished with mulberry flowers from WOC and Prima and some little acorns from the garden. I found some fabric autumn leaves in my stash and added in the corners.

I cut out the wreath by Spellbinders and cut out my image and matted it on top. I also used a beautiful light brown lace and some sissal.

Hope you like this card -

Cherish these Moments tomorrow they'll be MEMORIES

Child's Play

Good morning,

Today's post is special to me personally as it's my first DT project for Let's Craft and Create, stepping in temporary as one of the fantastic design team members. Needless to say I was over the moon and privileged to be asked.

The Challenge theme is Child's Play. I stamped an image from Whimsy Stamps - Loli's Dance and coloured with Copics and cut out using Doohickey Lace Coaster Die.

I made the base card with Spellbinders Grand Scallop Circle Die and matted and layered it with Ma Cherie and Be-You-tiful collections by Kaisercraft.

The sentiment is from the Be-You-tiful collection and the LOVE stickers from Prima. Tags and coaster from Doohickey dies.

Embellishments used are from my stash ...

More close-ups ..

Added a strip of pink pearls on the lovely pink lace and the resin border is from Melissa Frances. The heart bark is from Noor Designs and the Doohickey tag to write on for the recipient.

Hope you like it and thank you for visiting xx

Please pop over to http://letscreatechallenges.blogspot.co.uk and check out the inspirations from the rest of the design team and join in the fun :-)

Trust your a Heart

Hello there,

Back to shabby/mixed media for me today :-) I think it turned out alright. I used one of the papers from Craft For You Gossamer Basics to matt my background. Then I tore up a piece of paper from Noor's Bloc paper pad into two pieces with the torn edges and layered with some lace and I used a SnipArt chipboard border.

The main centre-piece is again from SnipArt ,I love this heart, don't you? I tied a large bow with cheesecloth and let it runs down behind the heart. I put a the large flatback pearl on a metal embellishment.

Used a paperclay frame I made and a large gorgeous metal butterfly charm on top of the heart to create dimension. I also glued some pearls on the butterfly to blend in with the large pearl charm.

I absolutely love these gorgeous flowers from 49 and Market which I have been hoarding lol. Chippy wood quote from Tim Holtz. And a couple of metal corners to the  corners and a splash of white paint...

I hope you like it. Thank you for visiting xx

TILDA With Umbrella

For You ... With Love

Good Morning,

It's cold and miseable on this September day here ....
Today's post is Tilda With Umbrella which I coloured with Copics admittedly I don't like the outline shadow on the photos BUT I promise you you cannot see it with the naked eye lol....!!  It must be the fantastic camera on my new Ipad Pro :-D
I used papers from Kaisercraft Treasured Moments and started by tearing up 3 sheets I picked into different strip sizes . I then matted these with lace in between. Once I was happy with the layers I glued and sewed the top and bottom together. Thats the base of my card.

I folded a satin olive green ribbon longer than the length of the card and cut fish-tails at the ends and glued to the  center and used a Fabscrapes chipboard before I glued the image on. I cut the image out using a Joycraft Elegant die.

I embellished my card with some handmade foamiran and paper flowers. Heart tag, umbrella and leaves from Doohickey dies. Sentiment from the Treasured Moments pad.

I made the charms by sticking the images under glass domes

Added a beautiful lace and a strip of pearls as stopper. Tags from Treasured Moments too.

May All Your Wishes Come True

Good morning!! Lovely sun shining today :-) Hope the sun is out where ever you are. Today's post is the cute little Dolly from Whimsy Stamps. I coloured her with my Copics and die cut out with Gummiapan stitched circle die ( I love these dies)

I made the base card with Spellbinders Little Darlings Square Set. And I used papers from Kaisercrafts and Stamperia to matt and layers.

Lovely lace I used are purple roses ribbon on a cream lace and another cream lace on the base card. I cut a couple of Doohickey tags and hung a couple of metal butterfly charms with handmade purple seam-binding ribbons and twine.

Sentiment is from the Kaisercrafts paper used and large doily chippy from my stash. I added little flat back pearls here and there
